"Sharing new work at Making More Waves family scratch provided us with the invaluable opportunity to test material in front of a real audience, who were generous and honest with their feedback, to help us with the development of the show going forward. It was also fantastic to be able to develop a sound and lighting design with the aid of a professional technician. Not only did this mean we could take some great photos to market the work, we now have a design we can build upon." Francisca Stangel, Aca Clown
"Being part of Making More Waves scratch night was a hugely positive experience and was instrumental in getting my project off the ground. The team at Making More Waves are very helpful and generous with their time and expertise to help local artists find an audience and develop their practice." Tim Larkfield

About the organisations:
Applause is a cultural charitable organisation that is part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio (NPO). Our mission is to unite culture and communities by connecting exceptional artists and performers with a network of passionate volunteer hosts and programmers. We bring exciting and inspiring performances, including theatre, music, dance, and storytelling, to the heart of communities through various spaces such as halls, pubs, village greens, and libraries.
ARK is a welcoming, accessible, inclusive, cultural and social resource, which brings together Cliftonville’s diverse communities - a space where people can experience ambitious live performance and exhibitions; thought-provoking film screenings; food events and workshops that are open to everyone. ARK is also a place to hold weddings, celebrations and other events; where you can rehearse your show and hold meetings; a space for film and fashion shoots. Above all, this space reflects the diverse roots and identities of all those who call Cliftonville home.
At Looping the Loop, we want to make live performance available and accessible to everyone in Thanet. We believe people have the right to enjoy good quality cultural experiences and that working together in shared creative activity helps our community to feel not only happy, but able to reach beyond their expectations. We believe that helping people to tell and share stories enables us understand each other better and brings us closer together. We also run Performing Arts Collective Thanet (PACT), a network of performing arts professionals in Thanet.
