The Folkestone Performing Arts Company is an artist-led international theatre ensemble creating vibrant, relevant and compelling theatre through the celebration of local stories.

A rag-tag rabble of robbers aim to find treasure in their local post-box filled with the winter wishes of the young & old of Folkestone. What they don’t expect is that this is no ordinary post-box but a magical one capable of transporting the hapless robbers throughout time where they discover the importance of giving rather than receiving. Filled with sights, sounds & scents of the season, FPAC’s The Winter Wish is a play for the entire family in the run up to the holidays.

We are Paula David and Laura Sampson. Paula is a writer, actor and director whose most recent work is JOURNEY TO FREEDOM (Pleasance Theatre). They first worked together for Discover Children’s Story Centre in Newham. Now they make community-focused plays and story times of their own.

Granny Moose needs to roll in the snow to keep cool but she can't find any. She begins her journey to find snow. She raps, rhymes and sings her way up the mounting trying to find snow. Amka the fox from the city who tells her that the earth is getting hotter and we need everyone to be kind to earth. They decide that everyone needs to hear the rhyme, rap and song to learn how to take care of the earth. Together everyone can save the earth from harm.

MEH Theatre is a company created by three students from Rose Bruford College. It incorporates movement, puppetry and original music through contemporary techniques from the European performative landscape. 

Every year, the animals of the forest gather and tell an old story, of a boy no bigger than a thumb, who lived in a small farmer’s cottage, and had never seen the big world outside. He dreams of travelling to the King’s court, becoming one of his trusted knights, fighting dragons and saving villages. And so, he sets out, with a matchstick for a sword, an acorn for a shield, and a dormouse for a horse. On his adventures, he helps many different creatures along the way, and in return they teach him about the magical ways of the forest. It’s enough for the animals to remember him many years later. But will it be enough to achieve his ambition to become a knight?
