Writing Workshop
Developing Character and Dialogue

If you've ever wanted to delve deeper into what makes your characters tick, and improve your dialogue writing, this is the workshop for you.
​
With a mixture of practical creative exercises, handouts and open discussion, this informative workshop will allow you to generate some new characters from scratch, or develop characters in plays you are already working on.

Fin Kennedy is a playwright, dramaturg and producer whose plays include the award-winning How To Disappear Completely and Never Be Found. He now runs digital production company Applied Stories www.appliedstories.co.uk

Social Singing with Instruments
Drumming with Rich Rythyms and Singing with Edward Greenhalgh
​After a successful run of Social Singing Sessions in both Ramsgate and Westgate over the last year, which included a festive sing-a-long in December, we are finishing this season with a singing session led by our brilliant choir master, Ed Greenhalgh with drumming led by Rich Rythyms!
​
West African drumming is suitable for everyone regardless of musical knowledge. In fact, you do not need any previous musical knowledge at all. During the drumming workshop, Richard Latham, the owner and organiser of Rich Rhythms, will provide djembe drums and take participants through simple drumming leading up to more complex rhythms. You will be surprised at the end result and how much you enjoyed getting there!
Edward Greenhalgh will leading the singing session. He has directed a number of choirs including: The Seventy Chamber Choir, The Thanet Festival Choir and Cantate Chamber Choir (www.cantate-thanet.co.uk) for which he is currently the Musical Director. Cantate recently performed in the Canterbury Festival. Last Spring he was also guest conductor for The Canterbury Orchestra.
